Moments from the Past!

"Video Collection #1"

1.  After handing his floor length fur coat, to Phil Donahue, Lee places himself
at the piano.  With his hands adorned with countless diamonds, Lee performs
a delightful rendition of "Chopsticks!"  Well, it's never sounded better!  After
a short break, Lee touches upon many of the events surrounding his life and
career, during this exceptional interview from the "Phil Donahue Show."
Throughout the hour, he answers questions from the audience which is
always refreshing!  Including his thoughts on many of the contemporary
artists of today, which will surprise you!  Returning to his love of the piano,
he performs several selections, among them "Memory" and "I'll be seeing you."
It's a wonderful hour with the talented star!

 2.  Performing a variation of "Mack the Knife" Liberace stops by the set of
MTV to step into the role of "Guest VJ."  After hearing his thoughts, earlier
from the Donahue show, on who he considers the best today, it's easy to
see that Lee hand picked all of these videos himself!  In closing, he presents
his very own video "88 Keys" and a few bars of "I'll be seeing you," as
he says "goodbye."

3.  Dressed in an elegant "suit" adorned with jewels and rhinestones, Lee
makes a delightful appearance on "The Tonight Show."  After a few minutes
with the late night host, Lee performs a delightful medley!

4.  Returning to the Phil Donahue Show, Liberace and the popular daytime host,
perform a duet together!  With each of them seated at their very own piano!
As always, it's a delight seeing Lee's smiling face!  And his charming personality
lights up the room!  Throughout the interview he talks about many things.
He also relates several interesting stories of the many entertainers that he has
worked with and invited to his home, among them:  Elvis, Michael Jackson, Dolly
Parton, and Mae West.  During the program he invites one of his students on
stage for a wonderful moment, where the two of them perform together.  Which
is absolutely remarkable, as they each take turns throughout the song, playing
different parts.  This is a wonderful hour with Liberace!  With great "full" screen
moments scattered throughout!

5.  Although the final moment on the tape occurred shortly after he passed away, this
particular segment from "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" features a grand tour of
his fabulous homes, intermixed with moments from his last interview.

"Video Collection #2"

1.  Upon the release of his book, Liberace stopped by the Oprah Winfrey Show
for a delightful holiday visit!  With thoughts of Christmas in the air, Lee shares
with us, how he celebrates the season!  Afterwards, he plays a wonderful
Christmas medley, which is absolutely remarkable!  Oddly enough, considering
how the program began, things take a decidedly different turn as Oprah asks
Lee about the "palimony" suit and whether it has made him more cautious,
in terms of the people he now associates with.  As if that wasn't enough, Oprah
takes things a step further by asking him how much he is "worth?"  along with
the number of houses that he owns, the cars, the furs, the jewels, everything!
Which sort of places Lee on the spot.  You can actually see the change in his
expression.

2.  With his passing, Liberace stepped back into the spotlight, as all of the
news programs focused in on his "extraordinary" life and career.  This moment
from "Entertainment Tonight" featured an upclose appearance with Lee.
3.  "Entertainment Tonight" attended the auction of Liberace's things, at the
Las Vegas convention center.
4.  With an upcoming television movie in the works, detailing Liberace's life
and career, some of the items from the museum were transported to California,
so they could be featured in the film.

5.  Through an exceptional "A&E Biography" we are treated an excellent
overview of Liberace's incredible life.   From the earliest moments, to his
final days.  So many images of Lee, personal home movies, interviews with
his family and friends, and so much more!  Truly an incredible tribute to the
man we all knew and loved!

"Thank you"
for taking the time to read through these rather lengthy descriptions!
I know it seems rather "incredible" to believe!
All these moments from the past.
Moments that you might have missed recording.
And those that you have only heard about!
Throughout the years, I've shared many of these clips from my collection
with my friends, and they have always been amazed by all the appearances
that I managed to record.  To ensure the highest quality possible, I use a
"dual deck vcr" when I'm sharing any of these moments from my collection.
I look forward to hearing from you!
